In most games, there are no visual stats, and the player must rely on cues such as their character's expressions and quotes to determine their condition. Set in the fantasy land of the Madou World, it follows the adventures of several characters, mainly Arle Nadja, as they traverse through various labyrinths. Its spinoff series, Puyo Puyo, uses characters and settings from the Madou Monogatari games. The series was created by Compile and it is currently owned by D4 Enterprise, with the latest entry having been made by Compile Heart.
